WestJet Surprises Holiday Heroes With Visits From Loved Ones

One airline company, WestJet, went to extraordinary and unexpected lengths to help bring a couple of families together for the holiday season.

The Christmas season and celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ is a tremendous time of year. It’s a period for family and friends, presents and delectable food. However, as fantastic as the holidays are, some people, due to work commitments or distance, are unable to enjoy it with their family.

In a clip posted on YouTube, WestJet, understanding that thousands of people are away from their families on Christmas, went to work. They highlighted a handful of dedicated, hardworking people and brought Christmas – and their families – to them.

The video states that WestJet wanted to “celebrate a few holiday heroes with a surprise they’d never forget.”

One of the people in the video is a bus driver who loves his job, seeing bringing travelers from Point A to Point B as “a simple thing that puts a smile” on his face. Another individual in the clip works at a hotel as a valet. A young woman works at the Vancouver airport. All three people take pride in their job, seeing their work as a mission to help and bring joy to others.

All three mention how difficult it is to be separated from their families at Christmastime. Then, at about the halfway point in the clip, it’s stated that “since they couldn’t be with their loved ones, we brought their loved ones to them.”

The looks of utter surprise, joy and happiness once they recognize their families have come to them will cause many to shed a tear or two or three. Even the most stoic person may get emotional as they appreciate the kind, loving and wholly unexpected gesture from WestJet.

The holidays are a lovely time of year. Memories are created and joy is abundant during Christmas celebrations. But sadly, as the video reminds us, some are away from their families at this special time.

‘Darth Gator’ Responds When The Imperial March Is Played

An alligator named after one of the most menacing and well-known villains in the history of cinema, Darth Vader, amazingly responds when that character’s iconic song is played.

Star Wars is a film franchise that has spanned decades, with several memorable and beloved characters included in the many movies. Whenever one thinks of Star Wars, names like Luke Skywalker, Hans Solo, Yoda and Lando Calrissian immediately come to mind. But there is one character that every Star Wars fan loves to hate: Darth Vader.

Darth Vader, despite being a villain, has become so iconic that the character’s theme music, The Imperial March, is instantly recognized. A clip posted on Twitter proves that it’s not only humans who are familiar with The Imperial March tune.

In the video's opening seconds, a man holding a phone approaches the camera. He states that he wants to see if “Darth Gator” will recognize the tune and respond to the music or not.

Sure enough, seconds after the video music starts playing, one alligator slowly emerges from the water and approaches the gentleman playing the music on his phone.

The alligator gets mere inches away from the man. He has no fear of the ferocious and menacing creature. He doesn’t step back or even flinch! Instead, the man shows how to get the being to stop moving.

“You want him to stop, just hit pause,” the man explains.

He stops the music on his phone, and just as the man stated, the alligator instantly stops moving.

As a reward for his impressive and hilarious feat, the man gives the alligator a piece of meat, which it devours in two bites.

Before the short, 1-minute clip ends, he starts the music again, and the alligator continues moving.

Animals, even those who are best viewed from a safe distance, are fascinating.

Principal Adopts 11-Year-Old ‘Troublemaker’ Sent To His Office

A school principal, acting out of love and kindness, went out of his way to help a troubled student who was sent to his office, eventually adopting her.

Life can often be a sad and confusing experience, filled with many ups and downs. That is especially true for children who do not receive the proper guidance and attention. They can become sad, lonely and angry and act out in wrong and destructive ways.

Raven, an 11-year-old girl, was sent to the principal’s office for starting a fight with one of her classmates. In a clip posted on YouTube, she admits that she threw yogurt at the student. She was suspended for her behavior.

“I was an angry, troubled child,” Raven said.

But that’s when something unexpected happened that changed her life forever.

The school’s principal noticed Raven sitting outside his office. He said she looked sad, defeated and without any hope. He struck up a conversation with her and asked her whether she felt her behavior was appropriate. He then learned that Raven lived in a group home.

“So, at that point, I had a, felt like she just needed a hand, needed help, recognized that she needed something that she needed something to go in her favor, maybe for once,” Jason, the school principal, said.

It turned out that Jason and his wife had experienced issues conceiving, and after discussing it, they decided to make Raven a member of her family.

However, it wasn’t always easy, especially at first.

“It was really weird at first because, like, in my mind, I thought of him as the bad guy,” Raven admitted.

But Jason’s and his wife’s love and hospitality put Raven’s fear and anxieties to rest. She said they made her feel like part of the family from the first moment she met them.

After fostering Raven for 2 and a half years, she officially became a family member. Jason and his wife adopted Raven.

The once angry, defeated and suspended young lady had found her forever home and family.

“All kids, regardless of age, need an opportunity to feel loved, to be successful and to make something of themselves,” Jason said.

2-Year-Old Math Whiz Shows Off On The Kelly Clarkson Show

One young man showed off his stunning ability and awe-inspiring God-given gift for numbers on The Kelly Clarkson Show

Math is a subject that comes more easily to some than to others. Math may confound and confuse some while the lightbulb switches on instantly for other people. Even after years of various math courses in school, some people may still feel quite uncomfortable performing many mathematical functions.

One child at just 2 years old has quite the handle on numbers. In an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, young Devon showed the “Miss Independent” singer and her studio audience his mind-blowing ability and skill with numbers.

The segment begins with a video of the young man standing at a miniature whiteboard with several math problems. The child, standing at the board, holds a marker in his right hand as he swiftly writes down the correct answer to each problem.

It’s simply amazing!

Devon appeared with his father, Duane, who has witnessed his child’s insane ability with numbers up close. Duane mentions that at just four months old, he started showing Devon numbers.

The young man’s first word, his father explained, was a sign that Devon would probably be pretty good at math.

“And also, his first word was seven,” Duane said. “So, we thought that was pretty cool.”

Duane states that he continued to develop Devon’s gift, saying that he bought a writing tablet for the young man at one year old.

“And we would practice writing numbers 1 to 100 while holding his hands and saying it out loud,” he said. “So, soon after that, he was able to write numbers all on his own.”

But before the segment ends, Kelly tests Devon’s proficiency and skill with numbers by giving the young man a math problem. She asks him to solve 30 times 6.

Devon then heads to his whiteboard, writes the problem down, and quickly, with relative ease, provides the correct answer. Kelly is blown away!

Longtime Walmart Employee Tears Up Following Final Shift

One woman got a bit emotional following the conclusion of her final shift at Walmart.

Undergoing and experiencing change is usually never an easy process. Even when the change is for the best, it still may not be easy or fun. Routines are comforting and safe because they are familiar, and we know what to expect and when. However, change disrupts and can cause problems, fear and even sadness or anger.

A clip posted on YouTube shows the emotions that can result whenever change, even a good change, occurs. The short 1-minute-long clip begins with Gail Lewis, a 10-year Walmart associate, on a walkie-talkie signing off for the last time.

“Attention Walmart, this is Gail Lewis, 10-year associate, Morris, Illinois, 844, signing out, good night,” she says into the walkie-talkie.

In a video she recorded following her announcement, Gail became quite emotional. She explained that her tears were not necessarily tears of sadness. However, she did explain that she would miss her co-workers greatly.

“It’s a happy sad because I’m going to be going to a better job,” she said through tears. “And those people became like family. I went through a lot with them.”

As Gail mentions, when people become sad and distraught about leaving a job, it’s not necessarily the work they’ll miss. Instead, it’s the people. Jobs and workplaces are always replaceable. People can always go somewhere else to get another paycheck. But friendships and the relationships that have been formed with co-workers are not replaceable or transferable.

The clip mentions that Gail’s tearful video following her resignation from Walmart has gone viral. It has been viewed more than 20 million times.

Change in life may often be difficult, scary and full of unknowns. But, as is the case with Gail, it can lead to bigger and better things.

Henry Winkler Loves Making TikTok Videos With Grandkids

Henry Winkler, known to many simply as “The Fonz,” enjoys being with his grandchildren and even loves creating fun and silly social media content with them.

Social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and TikTok are often wastelands filled with profane and negative content. Typically, avoiding those sites and platforms is a good rule of thumb. However, sometimes those platforms can be used for good, like helping a loving grandfather bond with his beautiful grandchildren.

In a clip posted on YouTube, Henry, in an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, talked about his grandchildren. He told the Oscar winner he is the proud grandfather of six. They range in age from 2 to 14.

He went on to mention that one of the activities he enjoys doing with his grandchildren is creating TikTok videos. He confessed that they usually make them during the holiday season.

Henry even gave Jennifer and the studio audience insight into how the videos generally come together.

“The oldest granddaughter, India, always picks the music,” he said. “And then, she is the main thrust of our TikToks.”

Going to the theater near the location of his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is another activity he enjoys doing with his six grandchildren. He hilariously and jokingly mentioned that whenever he and his grandchildren visit the theater, they always stop by his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for a little cleaning.

“When we go to the theater, I like to go to the theater,” he said. “I like to take them to the theater. My star is under the portico of the Pantages Theater, and each one of them. And we started when they were really little, and, and in their pockets, each one has a toothbrush.”

Later in the interview, Henry mentions how action star Sylvester Stallone helped him develop the voice for his iconic character on the beloved television series Happy Days.

‘God Is Good’ Good Samaritan Blesses Strangers In Walmart

A Good Samaritan approached several unsuspecting people shopping in a Walmart store, providing them with financial assistance and hope, as he also informed them about the life and salvation found only in Jesus Christ.

Sadly, the world is full of hurting, struggling and lonely people, and they are all around us. Most people, regardless of their present situation or stage in life, are fighting a battle. Those fights can take many different forms - financial, physical, emotional or spiritual. Because of those hurts, struggles and invisible battles, even the smallest, unexpected display of kindness and care can make a difference.

In a short, 3-minute clip posted on YouTube, a loving and generous man, Zachary Impellicceiri, approached a handful of people in Walmart and surprised them. His generosity left many speechless and even moved some to tears.

He approached the Walmart shoppers and gave them a choice. He offered them two different colored envelopes.

“I’ve got two envelopes,” he said. “Whatever one you pick, I’ll let you keep what’s inside.”

Understandably, most of the people Zachary approached were apprehensive and unsure, trying to figure out and gauge his motivations. But, for the most part, the individuals played along and tore open the envelopes to find either $50, $100 or even $150.

One man could barely talk but did thank God for his good and unexpected fortune.

“God is good,” the Walmart shopper said.

He tried to explain how the money would be used to benefit his grandson but was overcome with emotion and had to step away from the camera.

After the reactions of the unsuspecting shoppers, Zach would ask them a few quick, rapid-fire questions, primarily about how they intended to spend the money. But he would always end his conversations with the person by telling them of Christ. It could be as simple as telling them to “let us be more like the Lord” or that Christ is “our only hope for salvation.”

It was a simple and unexpected act of kindness that started a conversation, which allowed him to spread the message of love and hope of Jesus Christ.

Surrendering to God's Will! Part Six

Surrendering to God's Will! Part Six "Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven." Matthew 6:10 In times of uncertainty, when the road ahead seems foggy, or when we encounter obstacles that shake our faith, let us remember that surrender is not a one-time event but a lifelong journey. It is a continuous process of aligning our will with God's, day by day, moment by moment. It requires us to pause, reflect, and recalibrate our hearts toward His purpose. Each day brings new opportunities for surrender. Take a moment to examine your life and identify areas where you may be holding on tightly to your desires, plans, or ambitions. Ask yourself if there are areas where you have struggled to fully surrender to God's will, where you find it difficult to let go and trust His guidance. Psalm 37:5 says, "Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass." In those moments, breathe deeply and surrender those areas to God in prayer. Ask for His strength to release your grip on control and seek His discernment in aligning your desires with His. Trust that God will faithfully unveil His divine plan for your life as you surrender, stirring purpose and joy within your soul. Dear brethren, surrendering to God's will is not always easy, and it is normal to face resistance within ourselves. But when we choose to surrender, we are met with the abundance of His grace and the peace that surpasses all understanding. In surrender to God's Will, we experience true freedom, unburdened by the weight of our striving and embraced by the boundless love of our Heavenly Father. Amen. Proverbs 16:3 says, "Commit your works to the LORD, and your plans will be achieved." Amen. Prayer for Today! May God's grace illuminate your path, offering reassurance and a sense of unwavering faith at any moment. With each breath, may you feel God's presence surrounding you, empowering you to withstand life's journey with unyielding resolve and endurance. In Jesus' name. Amen. https://maglife.org/

Chevrolet Christmas Ad Follows Grandma’s Trip To Remember The Past

A sweet and touching commercial shows how powerful and impactful a stroll down memory lane can be for someone struggling.

The Christmas season is a terrific and joyous occasion. Family and friends gather to exchange gifts, enjoy a meal or two and celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. It’s a perfect opportunity to create memories. Sadly, Christmas can also be a heartbreaking time, especially when a beloved family member is showing and experiencing the signs and symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease.

A Christmas commercial from Chevrolet puts this sad and heartbreaking reality, which too many families face, front and center. The nearly 5-and-a-half-minute ad begins with a family gathering on Christmas.

The entire house is a ball of energy. Several are in the kitchen whipping up what is sure to be a delicious and delectable meal. Children are bouncing around the house, playing with their newly unwrapped gifts. However, among all this commotion, an elderly woman sits silently in a chair. She stares blankly off into space.

A conversation, likely between a father and a daughter, indicates that the elderly woman has her good days and bad days but that “the love is always there.”

A teenager who sits near her grandmother decides to act and attempts to rectify the situation. She grabs her coat and quickly guides her grandmother outside to a garage. Soon enough, the two of them are headed down the highway of a small, quiet and picturesque town.

As the teenager drives, she momentarily pauses at different spots and comments on them. The young woman’s sweet actions and kind words are a trigger. Her grandmother’s memories slowly come flooding back.

The car eventually comes to a stop at an abandoned drive-in movie theater. The grandmother thinks back and remembers her very first date with her loving husband. She immediately requests to go back home to help Bill cook dinner.

The moving ad ends with the grandmother back at the house now enjoying the Christmas celebration with her friends and family.

Dwayne Johnson And Jimmy Fallon Pay For Shopper’s Christmas Presents

Two of the biggest names in the world of entertainment, Dwayne Johnson and Jimmy Fallon, surprised shoppers with a little bit of unexpected kindness and love.

The Christmas season is a tremendous time of year. It’s a season of holiday traditions and time spent with friends and family. Also, during the Christmas season, people seem to be unusually kind and generous, willing to help and give to others.

In a clip posted on YouTube, comic Jimmy Fallon and action star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson visited the world-famous toy store in New York City, FAO Schwarz, and surprised shoppers with an unbelievable act of kindness and generosity.

But before that, the two stars had some fun with shoppers in the popular store. As the clip shows, Jimmy and Dwayne worked and controlled the arms of a toy robot and provided the machine’s voice. Most shoppers were good sports, willing to play along with Jimmy and Dwayne’s jokes and hijinks.

Eventually, after messing with the shoppers, Dwayne would appear and surprise the unsuspecting shoppers. Their reactions were normally utter shock or laughter. However, one young lady was completely unphased by Dwayne and Jimmy’s appearance. She wanted to see the real Maui, not the guy who only provided the cartoon character’s voice.

Before the clip ended, and after a dance performance on the massive piano, “The Fast and Furious” star announced that all their Christmas gifts were on him.

“So, I know that you guys haven’t bought your gifts yet,” Dwayne said. “So, I have my Acorns debit card. You all come with me. Gifts are on me right now. Let’s go down to the register.”

The crowd of shoppers react with shouts of happiness and glee following Dwayne’s generous announcement.

The clip ends with Dwayne wishing everyone happy holidays and a Merry Christmas.

Secret Santa Revisits Mom Of 7 Almost A Decade After First Surprise

A mother of seven children has received two visits from a generous Secret Santa in just under a decade.

Unexpected kindness can change and brighten up someone’s entire day, week and possibly entire year. A simple act of care and kindness can bring hope to someone who is hopeless, augmenting their outlook on life. What may be small and insignificant to one person could mean the world to someone hurting and struggling.

In a clip posted on YouTube, a woman received a second visit from a Secret Santa and a team of well-intentioned and cheer-spreading journalists. However, the six-and-a-half-minute clip begins with an apology from the mother of seven.

As she wrote in an email, she explained that she had meant to send this apology note for a while. She is sorry, as she mentions, for her lack of camera-ready response and for not making good TV for the group of journalists.

She goes on to state how much her then-surprised gift of $2,000 helped to alleviate her and her family’s financial struggles at the time. It’s clear from her out-of-the-blue email that she put that money to good use.

After unexpected correspondence, the team of journalists decided to pay that woman another visit, but this time they gave her an even bigger gift. They presented her with a check for $10,000!

During the second visit, the woman mentions that she and her family are in a much better place in life. Most of her children are out of the house - two are married - and she has recently started a brand-new job. She also goes into detail about how she used that $2,000 gift from years earlier to literally clothe her family.

“So, $2,000 at Christmas was, like, it paid our bills,” she said. “It put gas in the car. It, you know, gave my kids some clothes. Like, it was, I mean, it was just the little things, but it meant so much, but it was big to me.”

She once again expressed her gratitude for that money all those years ago.

When she unboxed the second check, the one for $10,000, her reaction was much bigger.

“No way!” she said. “Are you serious? That is amazing!”

Man Creates One-Of-A-Kind Sensory Friendly Barbershop

One man, a barber, has managed to cut out a unique business by creating and developing a barbershop that specializes in giving children with sensory issues trims.

No two people created by God are the same. All have their own specific set of skills, talents and gifts, ultimately intended to be used to bring glory and honor to His name. Also, everyone has their own fears and needs that are unique to them. Depending on the individual, these needs require a certain level of patience, kindness and understanding.

A video posted on YouTube explains how Billy Dinnerstein, a barber, has been able to use his unique experience growing up to help children with sensory issues. Billy’s barbershop, Your Kind of Cuts, located in New Jersey, specializes in giving haircuts to children with special needs haircuts.

In the clip, Billy explained how his childhood prepared him for a career in and to create a business that provides children with special needs haircuts.

“I grew up in the foster system, you know?” Billy said. “I had, I was intermingled with a lot of different personalities, and all these strangers, whether I’m going to them or they’re coming to me. And I just, I think I learned a keen sense of, you know, judging characteristics.”

Billy, in the video, describes Your Kind of Cuts as a barbershop that is “sensory-friendly.”

Also, the clip shows Billy exhibiting kindness, patience and understanding as he works with his customers.

One part of the video shows Billy sitting next to one of his young customers, telling them how he operates and is willing to do whatever he can to help them.

“If you’re nervous, want to cry and scream, go ahead,” Billy says. “But please, try to be brave, right? Because that’s what we’re here trying to do, trying to help you be brave and get a haircut.”

God bless this man and his loving and caring mission.

John Lewis Christmas Ad Reminds Us To Let Traditions Grow

A British department store company, John Lewis, has found a unique and touching way to remind customers and viewers that Christmas traditions happen on their own, naturally and organically.

The Christmas season is filled with friends, family, traditions and other fun events. Whether those annual activities involve decorating the tree with loved ones, watching a favorite Christmas-themed film or eating a special meal, all those traditions became a thing on their own.

Forcing a tradition or trying to get others to participate in some activity usually does not work. Instead of fun and creating precious memories, the result will probably look like something from “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation."

The cute and touching ad begins with a young man picking up a box labeled “perfect Christmas tree.” Inside the odd-looking container is a single seed. That little guy quickly becomes attached and invested in the plant, watering it and anxiously checking on the progress of the “perfect Christmas tree.”

Little by little, as plants and trees do, something begins sprouting and growing from the pot. Soon enough, viewers are introduced to Snapper, a mischievous but lovable Venus fly trap.

The plant becomes a family member and a best friend to the little boy. They create and look at photos of Christmas trees together. Snapper even gives his best impression of a typical Christmas tree, standing still while holding a bright, yellow star.

But the tree becomes too big and inadvertently starts causing destruction and headaches. Snapper soon finds himself outside in the cold, exiled away from the family.

Despite the plant’s position and the issues caused, it looks into the house as the family decorates what most would consider a typical Christmas tree. Snapper is beyond hurt.

The boy, sensing that all is not right, takes matters into his own hands to include Snapper in the Christmas fun. Soon enough, the entire family follows the child’s lead. It may be an unconventional way to celebrate the Christmas holiday, but it was a tradition that literally sprung up naturally and organically.

2 Thessalonians 2:15 “Therefore, brothers, stand fast, and hold the traditions which you have been taught, whether by word or our letter.”
